The claims professionals at CUG are committed to fostering strong working relationships with insureds, counsel and brokers to successfully resolve claims.
Our claims professionals have higher education backgrounds, including law, and extensive experience, including trial experience in private practice and corporate claims management. Each is highly qualified to handle any Directors and Officers or Professional Liability claim.
We believe in providing continuity of service over the years. To that end, one claims professional usually works with each insured. At CUG, you have a direct line to a familiar face handling your claims.
Our claims professionals respond to every claim reported to the company. Our claims professionals form an effective team with the insured and outside counsel to develop defense strategies, evaluate exposure, and contain costs.
We strongly urge all insureds to read closely and follow the notice requirements of their policies. In order to preserve coverage, it is very important to provide immediate written notice when a claim is made against an insured or when the insured becomes aware of a circumstance which could reasonably give rise to a claim under the policy.
